As most of you know we used to run nutrition challenges, they were awesome, people had amazing results and we met and still have tons of amazing people from them at CFG. We haven’t been running challenges in the last year because we wanted to find a different approach and start over fresh with something more sustainable over the long term. The program we will offer is nutrition, lifestyle and habits based instead of a one size fits all program or diet, we’ll call it a kickstart. Nutrition will still play a part in the program, but it is more habits based geared towards making long term lifestyle changes. So, getting rid of the word challenge is our first change.
Our new nutrition and lifestyle kickstarts will still have a beginning and end date but it doesn’t end when the program ends, that is just the beginning. After the kickstart is complete we will offer ongoing nutrition and accountability coaching options. This will allow us to go further in the journey to where you want to be.
The word challenge is somewhat confusing and makes it seem like once the challenge (usually 4-6 weeks) is over you can go back to your old ways. That is what we struggled with as a gym most, people would crush the challenge and then once it was over, boom, time to partttaaayyyy!!! Not everyone fell into this category but more times than not this was the result.
We are going to start running our new program every two to three months. Our hope through this new process is that with its simplicity and it being more habits based instead of a one size fits all plan that the results and change will be lasting. With our past challenges it seemed like most people were looking for quick results and had shorter term goals and a lot didn’t stick with it. We want to look at it in terms of the long game approach, changes can happen in six weeks, but we want this to be a lasting change, so this we’ll give you the tools.
We are super pumped to get this going, lord knows I need it also. Over the next two weeks we will be talking about it during our classes and we will also be making posts in our members page as well as on our Facebook and Instagram pages with any other important info.
